Teyana Taylor Talks Business, Love & Sex :: “I’m a free agent like Lebron” + Is She Still A Virgin?

Harlem native Teyana Taylor stopped by Power 105.1’s the Breakfast Club to answer some questions on her business life, love and sexuality and upcoming music. We all remember Taylor from her MTV Sweet 16 episode, after which she got signed with Pharrell’s label Star Trek. But according to Taylor, she later asked to be released from the label explaining:

“It was so much going on being signed to Star Trek… I’m actually kinda happy things didn’t work out when I was younger because I wasn’t really that mature, I didn’t really know the industry as much as I do now, I’ve now grown not to take anything personal in this industry.”

And despite rumors that she is signed to Kanye’s Good Music label, Taylor shut that rumor down,

“I’m a free agent… I’m in a Lebron kinda situation… I’m tryna see where to take my talents… I need to find myself as an artist and put out music for free, the people deserve that. And I have a point to prove, I’m not one of those artists that’s just comfortable with being popular. I’m an entertainer, I’m a director, I’m a dancer, I’m an artist first.”

And Ms. Taylor is keeping her word on giving out free music as she is set to release an EP “The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor” on February 29th. So with all this working, how about her love life?

“No time for that. I’ve been giving all my energy and time to just putting out music and that’s all that matters to me right now. Ain’t got time for the shennanigans.”

Speaking of her love life, we have all read about the speculation on what team she actually plays for sexually and to that she says,

“I think it’s funny… It’s actually better for me if that’s what they think ’cause they can stay out of my business of when I am dating ’cause they so worried about what chick I’m doing they not even focused on who I’m dating.”

She also let it be known that she is a proud 21-year-old virgin and that, despite rumors, her ex-boyfriend, NBA player Brandon Jennings, did not break up with her because of that.
