Keyshia Calls Beyonce A Hypocrite for ‘Bow Down’ Lyrics
Well, one thing is for sure, whether her opinions are popular or not, singer Keyshia Cole is not afraid to speak her mind. And use twitter as a platform. You’ll recall, the 30-year-old mother caught heat after criticizing Michelle Williams’ Super Bowl performance on twitter. And that’s not the first time that she’s said some not so nice things about a few folk on twitter. She called out her own sister, Neffie, for mentioning her in her memoir. She’s snapped on controversial radio personality, Charlamagne the God, and the list goes on and on. So who caught her twitter wrath today? Beyonce Knowles Carter. In short, Keyshia is not a fan of the overall lyrics of her new single, ‘Bow Down’. In the song, Bey sings:
I know when you were little girls, you dreamt of being in my world, don’t forget it, respect that, bow down b*tches.
Well, Keyshia has a response to Bey’s ‘Bow Down’ request and quite frankly, she suggests that Beyonce is quite the hypocrite lyrically. Keyshia wrote:
Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk sh*t when convenient 2 FOH. I had to come out of my no gossip hiatus for this one! lol First of all, I’m not a KC fan so I wouldn’t know for sure but is she even still relevant? I only know she is going to be on Fallon tonight because of her Twitter-Hating, and that was a surprise to me because I didn’t think she was still putting out music.. WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE THEIR PANTIES IN A BUNCH OVER THIS SONG!? What I hate about the ppl who fake like they aren’t ever impressed with Beyonce’s work is they are THEE FIRST ONES to talk about it online. They claim they don’t like her but they are on top of every new song, performance, announcement, etc. You aint foolin’ nobody! Now I can understand why every day Jo Shmo’s might hate on Beyonce. But Keyshia Cole is successful in her own right. She is talented, beautiful, and blessed. So why would she take her self 5 steps backwards throwing shade on Twitter. What could she gain by doing that? Nothing. The only people entertained by that negativity are negative ppl. They say a hit dog hollars. So maybe KC felt that those lyrics were coming at her or something. Maybe she thought Beyonce was telling her to bow down. Maybe she should listen!
I think society is so delusional. It actually scares me how much ppl literally WORSHIP Beyonce. So much so, that ppl are calling her Beysus! Wtf!? OD! Folks went from Queen Bey, to King Bey, to got damn Beysus!? Anywho, what does being “relevant” have to do with anything??? So unless you’re making a whole bunch of money and/or are constantly in the public eye, you’re not relevant??? I actually like the song and I’m sure KC does too, but the issue isn’t with the song, it’s with WHO is singing the song and Beyonce is soooo not “’bout that life”. Or at least from what she’s portrayed throughout her career. Finally, just because someone does not agree with what someone does, how or why they do it, does NOT make them a hater. That’s just plain and stupid logic. Keyshia Cole was speaking the truth. Period.

Obviously some ppl here have not listened to the song. She is not telling women everywhere to bow to her. She is talking to the women that hate or dislike her but secretly want to be in her shoes. This song is dedicated her jealous haters, not her fans, or even people that just don’t like her. I think the only people are offended are the ones that think she is talking to them.

Listen, we all have a little KC and Beyonce’ Carter in us. But what makes us who we are, is how we react to what people say and do. No matter what KC says about Beyonce’, her sister, or anyone else, sometimes its something else going on within that individual which makes them find fault in others.
Maybe there is something going on with Beyonce’ that is making her change her game up, who knowns. But what we all should know, is that they are grown, they will have to accept whatever backlash comes from whatever happens to them, whether it’s this or something else.
So what, Beyonce’ made a song that is not in her usual content; so what Keyisha feels as though someone is trying to glorify themselves, its a money making venture on both of their parts.
Beyonce’ will get listener’s that didn’t listen before, and Keyisha will get $$$$ for her appearance on whatever talk show wants her to talk.
If we have not learned anything about being famous, we have to realize its about money or they wouldn’t be where they are. Keyisha has her way, Beyonce has her way. Let it rest.
