Lohan Goes Ape Sh*t on Betty Ford Employee, Employee Later Fired + Lohan’s Lawyer Responds
I don’t follow Lindsay Lohan, but this story keeps growing and growing and growing. Here’s the short version:
Lindsay Lohan was in California’s Betty Ford Program (Betty Ford is an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center) and allegedly assaulted, Dawn Holland, a staff member of Betty Ford. What happened was, Lohan arrived late and after her curfew, was lectured by Holland and ordered to take a drug or alcohol test. From this incident, some sorta altercation ensued, with Holland claiming that she was assaulted.
How did Holland get fired? In a video interview with TMZ, Holland tells the media outlet (she also has a cast on her wrist from the incident) about the altercation with Lohan saying, “She tried to snatch the phone from out of my arm. She grabbed my wrist and twisted my arm and my hand to get the phone.”
What happens next? She’s fired and Holland’s employer (Betty Ford) releases this statement, “Regrettably, on December 21, 2010, one of our employees violated strict confidentiality guidelines and laws by publicly identifying patients in a media interview and by disclosing a privileged document. The employee has been terminated by the Betty Ford Center.”
Lohan’s lawyer released a statement: “At this time, we are declining to comment on the underlying facts surrounding this incident, as we await the completion of the police investigation. It should be noted, however, that it was Ms. Lohan who called 911 to request police assistance at the time this incident occurred.”
