NBA’er Gilbert Arenas Served Child Support Papers During Half-Time, Requesting $109K Monthly in Support

How. Freaking. Embarrassing. Gilbert Arenas, who recently had some very public baby-momma drama with his ex-girlfriend, Laura Govan, was served child support papers during his basketball game. Technically, it wasn’t DURING the game. As he left the court at halftime on Thursday night’s game against the Miami Heat, he was served. In the petition, Govan is seeking $109,000 in monthly support payments from Arenas and $1.3 million annually.

Arenas didn’t respond, but his attorney, Lisa Fishberg released a written statement. “This is a private matter involving young children. It is inappropriate for Ms. Govan and her attorneys to attempt to turn it into a public spectacle.” A hearing in the case has been set for March 8 in Los Angeles.
