Spotted. Stalked. Scene: Legendary Stevie Wonder Gets Political & Parties in DC

With only a few days left in black history month, every day counts! Well, at least in the nation’s capital. This evening, the White House celebrated fifty years of rhythm and blues with legendary artists and contributors to music. Legends like Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder were present, along with Natasha Bedingfield, Sheryl Crow, Gloriana, Nick Jonas, Jordin Sparks, Jamie Fox and John Legend. During the celebration, President Obama shared “Along the way, songs like ‘Dancing in the Streets’ and ‘What’s Going On’ became the soundtrack of the civil rights era. Black artists began soaring to the top of the pop charts for the first time. And at concerts in the South, Motown groups literally brought people together –- insisting that the ropes traditionally used to separate black and white audience members be taken down.”
In addition to getting his ‘politic’ on, Stevie Wonder was spotted (along with Jamie Foxx) at popular DC night club, Park at Fourteenth. Well-known DJ Quicksilva, devoted an entire set to Mr. Wonder. Jamie Foxx hopped on the mic and performed a few songs with Quick. In honor of Black History Month, we hear Jamie said, “I’m too sophisticated. I don’t do the dougie. I do the Frederick Douglas.”
