Recession Proof? Weave Thefts on the Rise, Salon Robbed for $150,000 in Weave
It’s still a recession and ladies that rock a weave know how expensive hair and maintenance can run. Apparently, folks can’t afford this luxury because there seems to be an increase in salons that are being robbed for their weave. According to the New York Times, professional thieves hit a Houston, TX hair salon and stole $150,000 worth of weave. Keep in mind, they didn’t steal money from the cash register, but stole expensive hair instead. Lisa Amosu is the owner of My Trendy Place salon told the paper, “Whoever did it knew exactly what they wanted. They didn’t even bother with the synthetic hair,” Amosu told the “New York Times.” Peep the full story here.
