Casey Anthony Set Free + She Ain’t Welcomed @ Home

Today (Sunday July 17th), at 12:14 a.m., Casey Anthony was officially set free from her prison term. In December of 2008, her daughter Caylee’s remains were found near her Ohio home. The 25-year old was accused of killing her 2-year old daughter by putting duct tape over her mouth. Since then, Casey has been in jail to serve time for telling lies about the case. But on July 5th she was found not guilty and now, less than two weeks afterwards, has been set free. Her lawyers were able to convince the jury that Caylee died from drowning, not suffocation.

As she left, a crowd of more than 100 people behind orange-tape barriers shouted insults like “a baby killer was just set free!” and “you suck!” Someone had even emailed a photo to her legal team that showed what Casey would look like with a bullet hole in her head. Wearing a pink t-shirt, jeans and sneakers, she boarded an SUV, drove away and has not been seen by anyone since. She was given $537.68 in cash, from her jail account, to survive. Meanwhile, her parents, George and Cindy, will not let her return home. During the trial, Casey’s attorney accused attorneys accused George Anthony of molesting Casey when she was young. Casey’s father, George, was also accused of making Caylee’s death look like a homicide. He has adamantly denied both allegations.
