Love Don’t Live Here Anymore :: Deion Sanders and Pilar Call it Quits
Earlier this month, there were rumors floating around that ex-Football and Baseball player, Deion Sanders, had cheated on his wife with a 19-year-old. Recently, even more rumors have circulated, suggesting that Deion has now officially divorced his wife, Pilar. According to Black Sports Online, the rumor is true and both partners have spoken on it. Allegedly Deion said:
“Enough is enough. I never signed up for all this. Enough is enough. If I wanted a model or a television star I would have married one a long time ago. All I wanted was a housewife.”
Pilar allegedly spoke as well, explaining:
“It’s unfortunate that my husband decided to take this course of action…I’m surprised and hurt…As I said to my children, we must take a minute to breathe and trust God.”
(BTW, i love that she pulled the Jesus Card…it sorta makes me believe that she really said it). The 44-year-old, who is now an NFL Network Analyst, has been married twice. The first time was to ex-wife Carolyn Chambers, with whom he had two children. The second time was to Pilar Biggers, in 1999. The two have 3 children together now. Pilar appeared on the show Football Wives and the couple also had a show together titled Deion & Pilar: Prime Time Love.
Word has it that Pilar received the divorce papers yesterday (September 23rd) morning in Texas. Supposedly she would like to make the marriage work, although Deion seems adamant about his decision. Well, we wish her and their kids the best during this time.
