Numbers-Don’t-Lie :: J.Cole Celebrates Billboard No. 1

According to Nielsen SoundScan, 26-year-old rapper, J.Cole has reason to celebrate. His album, “Cole World: The Sideline Story,” landed at the No. 1 slot, withselling 218,000 copies. Billboard reports that this is historical, as it’s the Roc Nation/Columbia artist’s first album and marks the first time a solo artist’s debut effort has entered at No. 1 since May 14, 2010. What’s even doper is that his album is the highest sales week for any act’s debut chart effort since Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday”. Tuesday, a very thankful took to twitter:
So many people to stunt on, fighting the urge to be spiteful. This moment is too important for that. Just want to say THANK YOU… Thanks to yall, we shook the game up. No chart topping single, just 2 years of hard work, great music and real
assfans. #1 album Thanks to every fan that held me down, every friend, every blog, magazine, tv, radio station, dj’s and pd’s, I feel like we ALL won.
