Wondering where neo-soul singer India Arie’s been? Apparently, in court. Arie is currently being sued by a woman named Noreen Nalli, who was her past manager. Earlier this year, Noreen filed a lawsuit against Arie alleging that she is still owed money from when the two worked together, from 2005-2009. She also claims that India Arie sabotaged her own career by canceling shows, rejecting performance offers and being unavailable for extended periods of time. Noreen also claims that Arie fired her without notice. Meanwhile, India Arie is counter suing, claiming that she overpaid Noreen for her services. A rep for India Arie told TMZ that “she remains hopeful that the matter will be resolved amicably.”
