Washington DC’s Chuck Brown Hospitalized

Washington, DC’s own Chuck Brown, who is affectionately referred to as the “Godfather of Go Go” has been hospitalized. The Washington Post reports that the 75-year-old singer/musician did not make a scheduled appearance because of joint and pain inflammation. Earlier in April, Brown left a personal message on Facebook, giving an update on his health:
“I’m still in recovery mode, but doing better and looking forward to partying with ya’ll again soon! I’m grateful for all the well wishes and kind notes — there’s no love like DC love!” His family updated the page on April 22, saying, “The Brown family wants to extend their thanks and deepest appreciation to everyone for their concern, prayers and best wishes for Chuck Brown during his hospitalization . They ask for your continued prayers.”
