Bowling For A Good Cause … Black Hollywood Hits ABFF’s ‘Strikes for Education’

Over the weekend, April 21st, The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) held it’s 1st Annual ABFF Strikes for Education event, at Hollywood’s Lucky Strike. A number of celebs were present, including Robert Townsend, Jason George, Joyful Drake, Rutina Wesley, Keith Robinson, Amin Joseph Russ Parr, Shanice, Tatyana Ali, Luke James, Wesley Jonathan, and other A-listers.

Headed by founders, Jeff Friday and Actress Nia Long, the purpose of the evening was to raise awareness about the Film Life Foundation, while a portion of the proceeds benefit a general scholarship fund at Howard University’s communications program. Actor Jason George, who was one of the team’s captain’s, explained:
“Tonight is very important. We have to support one another, so that we can see more of people that look like us on TV and on the big screen. My team and I are excited to be involved in giving back.”
