Donna Summer Thought September 11th Gave Her Lung Cancer

Thursday, fans learned that 63-year-old Donna Summer had passed and lost her battle with lung cancer. And reports today share that Summer, who resided in New York City during 9/11 attacks, was convinced that the toxic air had given her lung cancer. TMZ reports:

In the months and years following 9/11, Donna’s feelings intensified.  One source tells us when he was around Donna, she would constantly spray some sort of disinfectant in the air.  Deney Terrio, the host of “Dance Fever,” tells us … when he was around Donna post 9/11, she would hang silk sheets in her dressing room to prevent dust from coming in.

Donna also believed that 9/11 was an attack on Christianity and that her illness was a byproduct of the attack. Sadly, she was a smoker, which doctors may argue was the real culprit of her death.
