Over the weekend, theJasmineBrand.com and Vibe Vixen held a “Reader’s Appreciation Brunch” at Washington, DC’s Georgia Brown’s.

The purpose of the brunch was to honor and acknowledge the readers of both sites. Attendees were selected by entering a twitter contest, where they answered the question “What makes YOU a boss chick”? The twitter winners of the contest were: @LauraLoveBeauty @BarbaraChoice27 @BrittianyCierra @Rai_Monique and @CarryRenee.

In addition to enjoying complimentary brunch and tailored Qream cocktails [Qream Peach mixed with Peach Ciroc & Qream Strawberry mixed with Godiva Liquor], Vibe Vixen’s editor, Niki MMcGloster, led a group discussion on all things pop and urban culture–Vibe’s recent controversial cover with Evelyn Lozada, Kandi Burruss, Tamar Braxton, Chrissy Lampkin; the internet buzz surrounding big black hollywood break-ups like Usher & Tameka Raymond and Pilar & Deion Sanders; defining what it means to be a “Boss” chick; Meagan Good’s recent celibacy revelation and career advice. Contest winners also received a ‘Swag’ bag which included a pair of Puma sneakers, jewelry from Everything Girls Love (EGL), Vita Coco, Qream accessories and a ‘Swag Sex Packet’.

the Jasmine Brand & Vibe Vixen ended the evening with a Late Night Happy Hour at D.C.’s “Tap & Parlour”. Hosted by Radio personality Vic Jagger and WPGC’s DJ Heat, the evening included food, an endless supply of complimentary Qream cocktails and two-stepping.
