Verizon Wireless Hosts “Celebrating Your Story” #EMF Brunch With Laz Alonso, Pastor Marvin Sapp & Roland Martin

During the Essence Music Festival, Verizon Wireless held a media brunch at New Orleans restaurant, Dooky Chase, in honor of their “Celebrating Your Story: Powering Your Network” campaign. The campaign, which was launched earlier this year, spotlights seven influential African-American leaders, including Pastor Marvin Sapp, Dr. Steve Perry, DJ Beverly Bond, actor Laz Alonso and sports figures Tia Norfleet and Malcolm Jenkins. The brunch included a conversation with the campaigns participants, Laz Alonso and Pastor Marvin Sapp, who shared stories about their professional and personal life. Pastor Sapp chatted about the public loss and mourning of his wife, while Laz explained how the ups and downs in the entertainment industry have helped shape him. Peep a few pix from the event.
