My Black is Beautiful (MBIB) celebrated another successful year as a major sponsor of The Essence Music Festival. The festivities kicked off with the launch of the “Imagine a Future” initiative which in collaboration with UNCF (United Negro College Fund) and Black Girls Rock! (BGR!). The campaign is designed to positively impact the lives of one million black girls over the next three years by providing tools and resources to foster a greater sense of self-confidence and self-esteem. From Friday-Sunday, festival-goers showed up in droves daily to achieve the ultimate My Black is Beautiful Experience, with its supporting brands, CoverGirl Queen Collection, Pantene Relaxed & Natural, Olay, Oral-B and Crest, Gain, Charmin and Bounty. Social Media Socialite and MBIB ambassador, Bevy Smith was on duty to keep the energy high throughout the weekend. A number of celebrities and entertainers stopped by the booth, including: Faith Evans, LeToya Luckett, The OMG Girlz, reality stars Eva Marcille, Cynthia Bailey, Toya Wright, the cast of WE TV’s Braxton Family Values, Tisha Campbell Martin, Coco Jones, Carl Thomas, Raheem Devaughn, Eric Roberson style guru June Ambrose.
