Reality Star Draya Michele Launches New Clothing Line for ‘Fine A** Girls’
In an interview with VH1, Basketball Wives LA’s Draya Michele announced her new clothing line, Fine Ass Girls. Fashion is nothing new for the 25-year-old reality star, as she launched her Mint swimwear line last year. And her latest line includes sweaters, sweat-shirts and hats. She explained:
“I just wanted to start something that could motivate girls. It’s like a confidence booster. I’m lucky enough to hang around really good people, I have really amazing friends, and they’re also really beautiful and we take a lot of pride in looking how we look. We’re just trying to be all-around good people, so it’s just a movement for empowerment.”
The web site has not been launched yet, but the line is rumored to be available Christmas. Peep the teaser:

I’m all for sisters as entrepreneurs, and I fully supported Draya in her Mint Swim line… but Im kind of disappointed that she has a curse word in the name of the brand. Call me a prude, but I just think it’s really tacky. Is she surprised that she was asked to remove her hat on a flight (and undoubtedly the First Class Section). Having curse words written on your apparel is offensive to many people, so it won’t be the last time she’s asked to remove an item she’s wearing from her brand, in certain situations. Honestly, I think it was a bad marketing decision. Like, who sat around a conference table and came to a consensus that the brand should be called Fine ASS Girls? *smh* I think that totally limits how big it can and will grow. She could have even called it Fine AZZ Girls (misspelling the swear word) because folks who arent all that street savvy may not have even known it was a curse (and she likely wouldn’t have been asked to remove her hat on the plane).
And then the commercial has the word to use the word “Classy” as a description for the brand/folks wearing it??!! Not!

^^^ I agree. And slapping three words on any regular t-shirts, sweater, or hat does not equal fashion or clothing line to me. She does limit herself as far as establishing a customer base. Parents aren’t buying this for teenagers and wonen of higher standards wouldn’t be caught in it either. But, for what its worth she is a pin up model lol This does fit her and many women like her in terms of style. She is getting the most out of her 15 mins, as she should. Get money!

True…. I guess she is appealing to a certain market, and she does have a huge fanbase who will proudly rock that tee. But it really does limit the expansion of the brand, if she cared to look at the big picture. Like, Mint Swim has the capacity to be picked up and carried at stores like Victoria’s Secret, or even high end department stores. The bikinis are cute and the quality is decent. But this FineAssGirls brand will go about as far as an online boutique, and perhaps a few stores in some urban areas.
So her hashtag #NoPention…… I’m assuming that’s supposed to be Pension as in Retirement Plan??? Lol…. I’m wondering if Draya is getting a “pention” for being on BBWLA… anywhoo, she could’ve come up with a better, non curse word, name for her new shirts.
Draya is a fine ass girl her clothes are badass and ppl are supporting faggots getting married but they have a problem with curse words? C’mon man this shit is badass I’m a man and I would wear those hats this shit is fly stop hatin if you got problem make your own clothing line or shut the fuck up

Im in love with the clothing line, please fall back haters. Someone is always trying to knock a good thing someone is doing. If people are buying then why are you worried about what’s appropriate or not? You might not find it appropriate but others may. Bottom line still remains the same though, who’s making money and who’s hating and knocking her hustle?
