Rick Ross Remains Mum, Hires 24 Hour Security After Failed Drive By Shooting
A close call with death (which some argue the Florida native orchestrated himself), has lead rapper Rick Ross (real name William Leonard Roberts II) to step up his security team–in a big way. TMZ reports, that after Monday’s failed drive-by shooting in Ft. Lauderdale (where his girlfriend, Shateria L. Moragne-el, was a passenger) the 37-year-old has hired 24-hour ARMED personal security.
Reportedly, he was already using armed bodyguards for protection at major events like concerts and public appearances, but because of Monday’s incident, his camp has requested more. Is Ricky over-reacting a bit? Sources close to him say he’s been receiving threats for awhile, but the shooting has opened his eyes to the fact that he needs to take even more precautions.
