Rick Ross Finally Addresses Car Shooting, ‘There Are No Suspects’
After a very scary experience, Rick Ross seems to be staying positive and is back in the spotlight. The 37-year-old rapper attended the Grammy awards this weekend, and while he looked mighty dapper, the pink elephant in the room was speculation about his Rolls Royce being shot up just a couple of weeks ago. If you recall, on the morning of January 28th, 15 shots were fired at Ross’ vehicle, causing him to crash. Luckily, no one was injured. MTV’s Sway Calloway got a chance to interview Rick Ross at the Grammy’s. Peep the excerpts:
On his Grammy nomination:
“Just being nominated, the feeling is surreal and I just feel blessed for the opportunity,” he added. “That’s what we in this for, that’s what we work for. That’s what we put in the long hours for, so it’s wonderful.”
On the shooting:
“[There are] no suspects and we not here to speculate on any suspects. I’m just staying positive, I’m moving forward and I’m just staying on top of my game. You most definitely gotta make some adjustments, but at the same time I’mma live my life and I’mma do what I love to do, and that’s make music.”
On the future of MMG:
“MMG, we got the biggest releases of this year coming so that’s my focus. Mastermind this year, Wale coming, Stalley coming, Omarion coming — the team coming. We working.”
