Tika Sumpter Working With OWN & Tyler Perry + Mary Mary’s Erica Campbell Talks Split From Sister

Will we see actress Tika Sumpter on OWN soon? According to twitter…something is in the works. While tweet hustlin’, we came across this photo that the NYC native shared:

UPDATED…And just like that…we’ve solved the twitter riddle (which really wasn’t that hard). This afternoon, Oprah confirmed that Tika is working on a new Tyler Perry show, which will be on OWN. Sweet!

And in more TV news, if you’re a gospel fan or are addicted to WE TV’s ‘Mary Mary‘, then you know by now that one member of the popular two-some is pursuing her solo career.

In an interview with Sister 2 Sister, Erica Campbell, admitted that she is a bit nervous about going solo.

“Of course there’s anxiety with us stepping out to do different things. We’ve been joined at the hip for the last 12 years, and so now we’re taking chances and doing different stuff…I’m excited about doing something different. You gotta flip it up every now and again. It’s been 12 years, so it’s time to flip it around.”

So what about Tina? Erica shared:

“You can expect music from me, possibly a children’s book and children’s music from Tina [Campbell]. I think she wants to just take a break and breathe,” explained Erica, who is anxious, but still looking forward to a new phase of her career. Everyone just needs to recharge and breathe. So, that’s what we’re going to do.”
