RHOA’s Kandi Burruss Defends Fiance: He’s Not An Opportunist!
Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss has found love, the second time around and she’s not afraid to share it. The singer/reality star and her new fiance, Todd Tucker, are covering the latest issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine, giving the camera a glimpse of what we see each week on BRAVO TV. But as most of you know, this isn’t Kandi’s first time bringing her man on TV for the viewers to judge. Over five-years ago, she was engaged to AJ Jewell (they began dating in 2008, got engaged in 2009), who later died after sustaining head injuries in a night club fight. Some critics suggest that both men, her ex-fiance, AJ, and Todd, are opportunists. Todd, who was introduced to reality TV this season with Kandi, works as a line producer for BRAVO, works behind-the-scenes. But according to Kandi, that doesn’t make him an opportunist, or broke. She explained:
I heard different people like Wendy Williams trying to say he was an opportunist, but I was trying to figure out, “What does she mean by that?” Todd makes good money doing what he does, and he also has a lot of different business ventures going on outside of that. And he did not want to be on TV or anything. I think, for AJ, it was more about if people can’t figure out how you make your money, then they always try to say, “Oh, you must not have any.” But you can clearly see that Todd is working. He does well, so no need to question it.
Check out some photos from their shoot. And in more Kandi news, her new gospel single, ‘Stay Prayed Up’, featuring Marvin Sapp, continues to do well. During a recent RHOA episode, she explained that she snagged Mr. Sapp for the collaboration, because they both had experienced tragedy–she with the loss of her fiance, he,with the loss of his wife to colon cancer. On the day that it was released, the Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter had snagged the #1 song on iTunes Gospel chart
