Stars Get Dolled-Up for Essence’s ‘Black Women in Hollywood’ Event s
This week, ESSENCE held it’s annual ‘Black Women in Hollywood‘ pre-Oscars luncheon. The event honored honored Oprah Winfrey, Alfre Woodard, Gabrielle Union, Mara Brock-Akil, Naomie Harris and Quvenzhané Wallis.
The event included a presentation to Alfre Woodard and memorable speeches from Oprah, Gabrielle Union, and performances by Miguel and an impromptu speech by Common. In attendance were Tracee Ellis Ross, Jill Scott, Iyanala Vanzant, Keke Palmer, Star Jones, Lala Anthony, Naomi Campbelle, Meagan Good, Shaun Robinson, Tracey Edmonds, Kelly Rowland and other fancy folk.
