[Video] Kerry Washington Hits DC, Gets Honorary Degree & Gives Commencement Speech At George Washington University

Over the weekend, actress Kerry Washington was spotted in the nation’s capital, giving the the commencement address at her alma mater, George Washington University. Speaking to the class of 2013, the ‘Scandal‘ actress shared fond and not so fond college memories (she played a frog in a musical) and how she had to work hard to keep her scholarship.

In addition to making the speech, she received an Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts at the ceremony. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1998, where she designed her own interdisciplinary studies ranging from acting to psychology and sociology.
