As of Tuesday evening, USA Today reported that the death toll from Monday’s alarming Oklahoma tornado, stands at 24 — revised from an initial 51 — plus 237 injured. And while most of us are sending our condolences, along with prayers to those affected by this tragedy, a few celebs have stepped forward to give back–literally. According to CBS Sports’, NBA baller Kevin Durant has donated $1 million to the Red Cross’ Tornado Relief fund. The Oklahoma City Thunder have matched Durant’s donation and have also pledged $1 million to the Red Cross
to aid with disaster relief.
Meanwhile, Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burrus has used one of her businesses, to assist with aid. The reality stars boutique, TAGS, is collecting donations for victims. On their instagram, they wrote:
During these unfortunate times it’s very important that we help one another out. Team Tags will be accepting toiletry donations now through Saturday for the Oklahoma victims. Please find it in your heart to stop in. You can drop off your items at any location (Smyrna, Augusta, & Buckhead). Small tokens of appreciation will be offered to all who donate. Thank you in advance for your help! #teamtags #oklahoma #help#donations #pray
