Numbers don’t lie–especially at the box office. Comedian Kevin Hart struck gold over the weekend, with his comedy concert, ‘Let Me Explain.’ He confirmed the good news Sunday evening, via twitter:

We are making history!!!! #LetMeExplain I just cried tears of f*cking JOY!!!! I have the #1 comedy concert film opening of ALL-TIME!!! WOW This is why I work so f*cking hard….this moment is what I’ve been dreaming about!!! Thank you god & thank you fans!!! I love y’all 4 this

Deadline confirmed similar news, reporting that it made $3.7M Friday and the studio projects $17.4M for the 5-day holiday. Sweet!

    I was very disappointed with this movie. I looked forward to hearing Kevin Hart’s comedy, not his continual use of the “N” word, reference to women as bitches, and his use of God’s name in vain. I was totally shocked because I have never heard any of this disrespect in any of his comedy routines. I went to see his movie looking forward to laughing. I, and a lot of people I know, found nothing funny about his public disrespect for himself and his people. We need to stop thinking that calling ourselves the “N” word is comical. Kevin Hart has lost a fan.

        yea seriously get a grip and stop taking yourself so serious his comedy hasnt changed if your mad now you should have never been a fan you probably in a bad mood or going thru a men ain’t ish phase whatever it is miss jones “its not your fault lol “
