Bobby Brown Pissed At Daughter’s Engagement, Says Nick Should Have Asked For His Blessing
“Who gives this woman to be married to this man?” Not Bobby Brown, or at least not yet. Bobbi Kristina, daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Brown announced her engagement to Nick Gordon last week. Although she seems to be happy with her new fiancé, Papa Brown is not too pleased. He is reportedly upset that Gordon did not ask him for his daughter’s hand in marriage. TMZ caught up with the singer who stated:
‘I’m not [happy]. When your daughter gets married its just different. When he calls me I’ll figure it out.
Bobby isn’t the only one upset about the engagement. Many people are not happy about his daughter marrying her ‘brother.’ Houston took Gordon into her home when he was 16-years-old. At the time, and while growing up, he was acknowledged as Bobbi’s brother. Earlier this month took to Facebook to address the engagement:
YES, we me nick are engaged. I’m tired of hearing people say “eww your engaged to your brother or if Whitney was still alive would we be together or would she approve of this.” Let me clear up something, we aren’t even real brother and sister nor is he my adoptive brother. My mom never adopted him. In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating. My mom knows me better than any of you. A lot of yall are saying that yall are only saying this all out of love. Which is bull because if that was so, all you would want is for me to be happy. People need to seriously stop judging my relationship. Pretty sure it’s my own decision who I want to be with. Yes, my relationship may not be perfect. We will have rough patches, just like every other relationship. And we have had our rough patches. You may or may not agree with my relationship. You may or may not respect it. Judge me, go ahead. Your opinions are yours and mine are mine. It is my life and not yours. The decisions I make have nothing to do with you. Goodnight.

Let’s see… ok, 1st of all – Bobby is saying all of the right things a father should say BUT shouldn’t he have a relationship with his daughter first? 2nd – Nick ain’t asking nobody for ish…Nick thinks he is running things (which apparently, he is) and as he states in his tweet “they are in their own little world”. He has that lil girl brainwashed and whipped. Smh…such a shame. They’re both stubborn, hard heads and don’t give a #^*% about what anyone thinks. A path leading to no where or disaster. However, I think eveyone deserves to love and be loved, so I wish them the best. Legally, he is no relation and for some reason, I believe her when she says Whitney knew that they would start dating. That’s probably what started this whole thing in their minds in the first place. Who knows, maybe that’s what Whitney wanted. They just need to grow up and get it together. BK has had so many people try to love on her & wrap their arms around her, including Tyler Perry…a huge opportunity for her and all you see is her and Nick acting like there is no tomorrow. Clearly, she’s lost. #Still praying for this child.

Well BK will do whatever she wants to do. This child/woman is as stubborn as they come. The relationship that I saw on TV was extremely dysfunctional. BK needs to go to rehab first before getting married.
