Chante Moore Explains Why She Wont Defend Or Address Kenny Lattimore Gay Rumors

Its officially a wrap for R&B Divas: LA, but buzz about some of the show’s break-out stars continue. Specifically, a few nosy folk (we’re not judging you) are still fascinated with Chante Moore’s relationship with her ex-hubby, Kenny Lattimore. In an interview with Juicy, the singer talks about rumors about her ex’s sexuality saying that she’s unsure of where the rumors originated. She explained:

I don’t know where they [sexuality rumors] started. I wasn’t personal friends with him for long. I was an acquaintance before we dated so I don’t know anything about that. That really isn’t a comfortable thing to talk about. Being that he isn’t my husband anymore, I leave it up to him to answer because that’s his life.

She also explains that she doesn’t feel like Kenny overshadowed what she was trying to achieve on the show:

No, not at all. He isn’t somebody that I really want to talk about. I’m still pissed off about stuff that happened but it [child custody battle] was something that happened. Otherwise it wouldn’t have been something that I brought up.  If you want to know any more about what happened about my relationship buy my album because I wrote a whole album about it on Moore is More. Check the record because there’s things that I won’t talk about that I will sing about.

We also chatted with Chante after the reunion show aired, asking her specifically about reports that she was touring with Kelly Price.

In short, she said that the tour was cancelled.

I mean it’s a possibility I guess, at some point, that they could say, “Okay, let’s figure out how to make this happen.”  These young ladies and what to have – I did get the list of people and I was ready to do it, absolutely ready to do it and I still would do it. What I didn’t like is that it was made before paperwork was done because sometimes if you announce that you’re going to do something – and this has happened before in my career, there’s time where someone has said, “Oh, we’re going to do this!” and they block out a certain amount of time and then you say “No” to the other offers because you don’t want to double book your word and commitment to what you’re going to do is your reputation and put it online. So I’m a little worried because I don’t want someone to think I’m going to be on tour with them and I’m not going to be – that means that’s going to go out of my pocket – I have to take care of my children and my life and my reputation is at the utmost importance, it’s all I have – this is my career.
