Marlo Hampton Disagrees With NeNe Leakes, Says Her Relationship Status Prevents Her From Being An Atlanta Housewife

The real reason Marlo Hampton is NOT an Atlanta Housewife? Her relationship status.

Marlo Hampton, one of the bridesmaids on ‘I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding’, disagrees with a recent comment made by NeNe Leakes. In a recent interview, NeNe told Entertainment Weekly what she felt prevented Marlo Hampton from being an official cast on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. She explained:

After working with Marlo on the show, I could see why she was not a housewife, because she’s super difficult. She’s super extra.

She added:

When Marlo and I worked on Real Housewives, she was just appearing here and there. When we worked on I Dream of Nene, I could see her business sense, and it just wasn’t attractive.

But Marlo wholeheartedly disagrees with Mrs. Leakes. The reality star, who makes regular appearances on RHOA, told Radar Online:

I have no husband, so I can’t even be a full-time housewife. There’s nothing normal about me — I love being extra and I own it. That’s part of Marlo. Me being normal, you wouldn’t see me every week being on the show and I’m sure she wouldn’t have asked me to be in her wedding if I wasn’t extra.

She continued:

Everyone loves my personality. The producers love me. Which producer wouldn’t love me? It would be a fool not to, right? It just would be friend of the housewives, [but] I always just say a cast member because I’m on it. I’m being called to tape… so I would definitely say I’m a cast member with Bravo.

She also confirmed that she’d be on a few episodes on the new season of RHOA. And as for if she’ll ever bee a full-time RHOA cast member, she says her husband would decided.

It depends on what my husband would want. That would definitely have to be 50-50 because I feel some men would not [like that]. And you know I want to marry a successful man, so hopefully [he would] tell me it’s not for me. I’m different and I’m okay being different. I’m on my own little planet and I’m fine on it.
