Bar mitzvah:

a solemn ceremony held in the synagogue, usually on Saturday morning, to admit as an adult member of the Jewish community; a Jewish boy 13 years old who has successfully completed a prescribed course of study in Judaism.

Talk show host Wendy Williams certainly outdid herself with this one!

Over the weekend, the 49-year-old self proclaimed ‘Queen of All Things Media’ remixed a traditional Bar mitzvah for her 13-year-old son, Kevin. Themed ‘Black Mitzvah’ (on a previous show, Wendy explained to her talk show audience that the majority of Kevin’s school friends are Jewish) Wendy and her husband threw a huge bash in celebration of her son becoming a teenager. While her son’s birthday is in August, the New Jersey native said that they decided to postpone the party because his peers were away on summer vacation. Nonetheless, the party went down at NYC’s Marquee night club. Kevin’s surprise date was actress/TV personality Adrienne Bailon (she even sang happy birthday to him, along with party-goers). Some of Kevin’s favorite artists performed, including rappers Meek Mill and Tristan ‘Mack Wilds’. Check out some of the photos and clips of the performances.
