[VIDEO] Kanye West Pops Slick At President Obama, Responds to Rev. Al Sharpton’s Protest
Mr. West is in the building, making more waves and speaking just as freely as he wants to. Recently, he took over Philadelphia, stopping by HOT 107.9 and Philly’s Morning Show. As expected, Kanye West gave listeners his genuine thoughts on all things fashion, Yeezus, with a bit of politics sprinkled in. Check out a few excerpts.
Kanye West: Oh you talking about how he use to come and visit me and my mother and tell me he’s about to run for President? I just think that we’re pop icons and the President likes to use that type of thing just to be down.
People were fine with me being everyone’s punching bag for about 5 years. This is the person we love to hate so if you want to distract people from everything that’s going on or you gotta a problem with your father…..just say you hate Kanye and there’s gonna be 30 other people who say they hate Kanye and that was kinda my position in culture and he kinda used that too “oh he’s a jack*ss” cuz that’s how the world felt but I don’t care if someones the President or not. I care about thoughts and how you helpin’ people and what you bring to the world. My music brings joy to people. What I create brings joy to people.
Kanye West: Well, uh I think he should mention MY babymama name because we both from Chicago. But no, I’m not gonna mention him no more. I’m passed that. That’s out my thoughts. That’s lowering my priority of thinking at this point.
Kanye West: I do interviews like this oh wait you know what else I do-I put a Confederate flag on all of my merchandise cuz that’s fun to me. It’s not even a question of racism. But more of being free as an artist. As an artist I can use whatever I want to use to create with. Under my religion of Christianity I can use whatever I want to create with.I like symmetry. From a design perspective the Confederate flag is colder than the current American flag. What do all these flags mean?

Something is really wrong with dude. Like seriously, you’re mad b/c Obama doesn’t “visit” you?And as a “Christian” you have the right? With him I use the term Christian loosely. I think he meant American. Dummy. The confederate flag has just about everything to do with racism. What do all these flags represent? Well bud, the American Flag represents freedom. I cannot deal with him anymore. He’s sooo extra. So arrogant. Such a fool!
Agree 100%. Kanye is high on his own fame and I think he’s becoming delusional just by tooting his own horn. Total disrespect to our President and our race…smh, confederate flag…really now? He just wants attention and to stay relevant. So say something crazy! That’s why he’s such a fan of Miley’s. I guess that’s their strategy these days.

I wrote about it before, but President Obama made remarks about folk (I believe it was young kids, specifically), looking up to reality stars like the Kardashians. Kris Jenner responded and was very upset about it, on her talk show (the one that was canceled) saying that Obama’s remarks were unfair. Happened this summer.
And kids shouldn’t look up to them! What things positive have they done? NOTHING! But I’d like to know about his shots taken directly at Kanye.
Ummm, I think he’s off his meds. This boy has lost his mind. I think the passing of his mother has got him going haywire. He has noone to look to for guidance and has been hanging around the kardashians way too long. He needs jesus.

The president kicked it with a lot of celebs and I think it was to be down too. That don’t always work in the end.
