Dwyane Wade Proposes to Gabrielle At Holiday Christmas Party, See the Engagement Ring!

Love is in the air!

Actress Gabrielle Union and Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade have made their love official, announcing that they are now engaged. The 41-year-old actress shared the news on Twitter, posting a photo of her ring with the caption:

Sooooo this happened… #Yessss

D.Wade also shared the same photo writing:

She said yes

Reportedly, the proposal took place at the Miami Heat Christmas party. The couple began dating in 2009.

In September, D.Wade revealed that he and the ‘Being Mary Jane‘ actress took a break from their romantic relationship, pointing the finger at their chaotic work schedules.

He shared with Jay Leno:

Celebrity relationships are very hard. For us this was a big year for our relationship from the standpoint she was shooting her show, “Being Mary Jane” and gone most of the year. I was dealing with my injuries [and] trying to win a championship. So we kind of took a step back,” he said. We supported each other but we took a step back for a little while.

He continued:

At the end of the day, we came back together and said we want to continue this and we want to get better each day,” he said. “She’s been with me and I’ve been with her all summer long. We’re going strong now.

This is the second marriage for both. Gabrielle married Chris Howard in 2001. They separated in 2005 divorced in 2006. D. Wade married his high school girlfriend Siohvaughn Funches in 2002. He filed for a divorce in 2007 and the divorce became official in 2010. He has sole custody of his two sons ( Zaire Blessing Dwyane Wade and Zion Malachi Airamis Wade) from his first marriage. No further details about the proposal have yet been shared.
