[WATCH] Was It Necessary For Brian Williams to Publicly Apologize to Arsenio?
We can only imagine that Arsenio Hall is feeling a bit vindicated this morning. Earlier in the week Brian Williams of NBC’s Nightly News aired a story about the late night talk shows and how they will fare now that Jimmy Fallon has officially debuted ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon‘. During the story, he mentioned his competitors (with the graphic below) Conan O’Brien, David Letterman, Stephen Colbert, Chelsea Handler, Jimmy Kimmel, Carson Daly, Andy Cohen and Jon Stewart–noticeably Hall is not included.
It’s no secret that the show isn’t doing as well as the others but Hall is a late night talk show veteran, with his original show airing from 1989-1994. After a nineteen year hiatus, the show with a new format returned last September and so far guests like Eddie Murphy, Magic Johnson, Angela Bassett, Mike Tyson and Diddy have chatted it up with the host. Arsenio used his show to speak directly to Brian Williams, noting that he absolutely should have been included in the conversation. He said:
