[WATCH] James Brown Movie, ‘Get On Up’ Trailer Released!

The official trailer for Get On Up, an upcoming American biographical drama film about the life of singer James Brown, has just been released. Directed by Tate Taylor, the film stars Chadwick Boseman as Brown, Nelsan Ellis and Tika Sumpter.

Other co stars include Brandon Smith (as Little Richard), Jill Scott, Viola Davis (as Susie Brown, James’ mother), Octavia Spencer and Ralph Tresvant (as Sam Cooke). The film is set for an August 1, 2014 release date.
