Bobbi Kristina Upset About New Whitney Houston Movie: I’m the ONLY Person Who Should Play My Mother!
Last week, we reported that Lifetime had confirmed a Whitney Houston movie, tapping one of the late singer’s Hollywood colleagues. Angela Bassett will make her directorial debut on the original movie, currently titled Whitney Houston. While some ‘Nippy’ fans were thrilled to hear the news, some of the late singers family were not pleased.

Whitney is certainly worthy of more than a television movie. If Whitney were here today, this would not be happening.
This week, Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, shared similar sentiments. In fact, the 22-year-old Tweeted that she and her mother had previous conversations about the matter, before Whitney’s death. Check out her interesting response that appears to address both Angela Bassett and Lifetime.

No,I don’t want tosee her portray her Mother.I don’t think she’s an actress and I don’t even think she has discipline to behave on a set.From what I’ve seen from her and that boyfriend of hers.I know a professional like Ms.Bassett is not gonna put up with that type of behavior.I really don’t see the need for a movie about Ms.Houston.Let this woman rest in Peace!

I would love to see Bobbi Kris play her mom..sh for sure looks like her mom, has a decent voice and can act as well ala Tyler Perry sitcom..
I have no issue with Bobbi Kristina being involved with the film and helping tell her mother’s story. However, she can do that WITHOUT playing her. No shade, I wouldn’t want to see her play Whitney. They need a seasoned actress for that role if they want people to take it seriously.
The bottom line is this child is not an actress.
I do think if you are going to do any film of someone who has passed you should at least talk to the family and get their blessing. It doesn’t seem as if Angela Bassett has that… and seems kind of off if she continues. But on the other side, I don’t see her trying to ruin Whitney’s legacy or anything. They were friends and who better to tell your true story and let people see you than your friend? Bobbi isn’t a seasoned actress. And why would she want to act out her mom and father’s relationship? That just seems odd. And Bobbi Kris is always mad and talking about what her mom would want if she were here. Would she want you on drugs and shacking up with a man who allegedly abuses you? Like get real girl.
Oh and another thing… they sure got on that tv show quicker than Whitney’s body could even get in the ground. I guess they only want to make money off of her their way. Smh that family is ridiculous.
I so agree with your statement.If its not their way they have a problem. Bobbi Kris needs to get her life together she just wants to make money off this film. So if she plays her mom its ok to make the film but if she doesnt its not ok? Im confused. & that sister in law…….i just have no words. I wouldn’t trust Bobbi Kristina to tell her own story let alone her mother’s. She doesn’t look like her mom, that is Bobby’s twin. She doesn’t have the acting skills and no one wants to deal with bad attitudes and drama on set. I understand where the Family is coming from wanting to have some input but if you’re not funding it or directing it then you really don’t have much say in it. Angela Bassett is talented and smart, I think she can put it together.
