R&B Divas LA’s Chante Moore On: Cast Drama, Kelly Price & Controversial ‘Ladies Anthem’
Chante Moore: Because Tim Lory told me I could only use 3 because all of us are on the “Puerto Rico” song.
theJasmineBRAND.com: Let’s talk about the studio session. Is there anything that viewers did NOT see?
Chante Moore: A LOT! They sang, they created, and it was uncomfortable but GREAT! I did NOT ask them to leave before they finished.
theJasmineBRAND.com: After seeing the episode, is there anything that you should have handled differently?
Chante Moore: No.
theJasmineBRAND.com: Did you purposely miss the therapy session?
Chante Moore: I wasn’t invited to it! I would have been there otherwise, I am not scared of anyone!
theJasmineBRAND.com: Some of the ladies said the contract for the song was unprofessional. Can u clarify?
Chante Moore: It was a release NOT [a] contract, my manager was simply going over what was already discussed with THEIR management. She’s [Chante’s manager] not a lawyer so no need for letterhead! Sheesh!
theJasmineBRAND.com: Moving On These are Questions from Twitter. When is the last time you spoke to Kelly Price?
Chante Moore: Once you tear your panties with me, I am done! Respect is earned!
theJasmineBRAND.com: Who would you like to collab with in the future?
Chante Moore: Marsha Ambrosious, Ledisi, Gladys Knight, Barbara Striesand, Drake, and Maxwell.
theJasmineBRAND.com: Do you feel you offended any of the divas with your comment: this is business we’re not friends?
Chante Moore: I said it’s business FIRST, otherwise we would not be there. We are there for more exposure!
theJasmineBRAND.com: There seems to be some tension brewing between you and Lil’ Mo. How’s your relationship with her this season?
Chante Moore: Lil Mo makes me laugh. Things were a rocky, but I will always have love for her.
theJasmineBRAND.com: How much of the show is real and how much “real” is edited out?
Chante Moore: It’s all real but you can’t see the whole week we tape in 1 hour, so a lot is left out.
theJasmineBRAND.com: Is there anything outside of #RBDivals that you’d like to share?
Chante Moore: Doing a GREAT seminar at the Ubiquitous Hair Show, August 23-24th in DC. Releasing my book there! The book is Will I Marry Me! Taking this book tour and seminar on the road to women’s events!
theJasmineBRAND.com: It’s been an absolute pleasure! We look forward to seeing you the rest of the season!
Chante Moore: Thank you so much for having me! xoxo
