[EXCLUSIVE] Russell Simmons Accused of Ripping Off Rick Ross’ Photographer, Sued For Damages & Injunction
theJasmineBRAND.com has learned that Russell Simmons is accused of ripping off Rick Ross’ photographer and refusing to comply with a cease and desist and now he has been slapped with a federal lawsuit.
A photographer named Armen Djerrahian filed a federal lawsuit against Russell Simmons and Global Grind.
He explains that he is a successful photographer who works with hip hop artists from Jay-Z, 50 Cent to Kanye West. His photos have appeared on XXL, Vibe and many other outlets. He also has directed many music videos and commercials for hip hop artists.
Djerrahian says that back in 2010, he shot rapper Rick Ross for XXL Magazine. The images show the rapper holding his hand in the shape of a gun to his head. He says that he had the image copyrighted and it is well known in the industry that he shot the photos.
