[EXCLUSIVE] 50 Cent & Video Model Settle Million Dollar Lawsuit
Her suit explains that he posted on Instagram and Twitter a call to blacklist her and he defamed her with other comments. Ferreira said she suffered emotional damage and her modeling career was ruined and filed the suit seeking millions in damages.
Then the rapper fired back at the lawsuit, in which he denied he did anything wrong. He stated that he is protected by the first amendment and “the statements alleged to have been made by Defendant are true or substantially true.”
His response continued, “the statements alleged to have been made by Defendant constitute privileged fair comment or reports on matters of public interest and concern.” He demanded the lawsuit be dismissed and the video model be awarded nothing.
Then on September 26th, 50 Cent and Ferreira filed docs in the case stating they are dismissing the entire action forever. The dismissal means the two came to a private settlement between each other and most likely the model received a decent monetary settlement from 50. The case was closed by the federal court judge the same day.
