(EXCLUSIVE) Tamar Braxton Settling Lawsuit With Woman Accusing Her of Stealing Music
Tamar Braxton has reached a financial settlement with the songwriter who accused the singer of stealing her music — which will bring the legal battle against her to an end, theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports.
Earlier this year, The Real co-host and her music producer Angela Hunte were hit with a federal lawsuit by songwriter Emmi Kozulin. The songwriter claimed she co-wrote a song titled “One on One Fun” with Hunte and she even recorded the song with her vocals.
She explained that Hunte gave the rights to the song to Braxton for her album, “Love and War” — which was allowed, but she was not allowed to use the vocals she recorded on her version of the song.
Kozulin — claimed she was co-writer of the song and sued for 50% of the royalties plus damages.
Braxton responded and denied she stole anything from the songwriter.
