(EXCLUSIVE) DJ Khaled Hit With $20K Judgement Over Bodyguard Lawsuit
There’s legal drama brewing for DJ Khaled (real name Khaled Khaled). The 39-year-old DJ and music producer has been accused of screwing his personal bodyguards out of nearly $17K, having them protect him on several occasions and then never paying up and now a Florida judge has slapped him with a judgement to PAY UP ASAP — theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports.
Guardian Professional Security – a company which provides personal bodyguards to celebrities – filed a lawsuit against Khaled in Florida court back in September. The complaint reportedly accused the famous DJ of hiring them to provide security for him and then never paying the bill.
The company boasts on their website to have clients such as Justin Bieber, the Kardashians, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj & Chris Brown. According to the court documents, Khaled failed to pay for services they provided him back in 2012 in the amount of $16,417.11
Khaled reportedly didn’t address the legal battle for months and was slapped with a default judgement. The court order states that Khaled is indebted to the personal security company due to failure to pay on several invoices. The judge granted the judgement in the full amount owed of $16K + interest since 2012 in the amount of $2,339 and other costs for a grand total of $19,424.55. The judgement will continue to grow with interest until DJ Khaled finally pays up.
We’ve reached out to Khaled’s camp…so far, no response. See the exclusive court docs.
