Cortez Bryant Vents About Lil Wayne’s Album Delay, Promises: I will not let this dream die!

Cortez Bryant-Vents about Lil Wayne Album Delay-the jasmine brand

The tension is obviously growing between Birdman and Lil Wayne. As previously reported, the two had a public falling out allegedly over the delay of Wayne’s upcoming album. In fact, it’s been reported that Wayne is attempting to get out of his contract with Birdman.  So what’s the latest? Cortez Bryant, one of Wayne’s long-time friends and manager, has taken to Instagram in support of Wayne. In a two-part post, Cortez says Wayne and fans deserve his music. He writes:

@LilTunechi built Young Money from his dreams to reality. Launched the careers of @Drake @NICKIMINAJ @Tyga not from their talent but from the belief in what he saw that they saw in themselves and put everything in making sure they fulfill their dreams! That’s what Young Money is about That’s the DNA of the real Lil Wayne Sacrifice himself

to want his artist to be better! Wayne carried Cash Money on his back for over 10 years when he could have left and did this on his own The most loyal person I know on earth! He don’t deserve the shit he’s going through at this point in the game. One thing for sure Two things for certain @mackmaine and myself will not let this dream die WE GOT US! #YOUNG MONEY #sorry4forthewait #freeCV

Not to denounce the hardwork lil Wayne has put into the music industry or for those around him .But if his album is full of disrespectful lyrics demeaning women especially black women. Oversexualized content, annoying screeches, then they can keep it and garbage it. People use music to escape, but at this time in our community with these current events taking place. We can use a better source of entertainment. Black people don’t see the rift that some of these rappers draw in our communities. Money fronting, having to look rich all the time, skin color , what women is more desirable, soft rape, and DRUGS. I can wait 60 years on that album ,cold case it.

Not to be mean, but I could care less about Lil Wayne’s music at this point. I do feel like if he wants to get out of his contract, the two should try to walk away with something that’s fair between him and Birdman.
