Last night, ESSENCE’s 6th Annual Black Women in Music Event, took place at Los Angeles’ Avalon. The event, honoring Jill Scott, featured performances by Chaka Khan, Brandy, MC Lyte and Lianne La Havas.

Those in attendance also include Ciara, Jordin Sparks, Zendaya, Tahj Mowry, Candice Patton, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry-Housley, V.Bozeman, Amber Riley, Jessica White and others.
