Ex-NFL’er Darren Sharper Pleads Guilty to Rape, Sentenced to 9 Years

Ex NFL’er Darren Sharper has officially been sentenced. On Monday, the 39-year-old former New Orleans Saints player pleaded no contest to claims that he drugged and raped two women in Los Angeles. This was as part of a broader plea deal in four states that will result in him spending nine years in federal prison.

Sharper acknowledged the crimes after pleading guilty to sexual assault in Arizona.

In the Arizona case, he admitted to sexually assaulting one woman and trying to attack another in Phoenix in 2013.
