Ex-NFL’er Darren Sharper Pleads Guilty to Rape, Sentenced to 9 Years

Under the deal Sharper will serve a nine-year federal prison term for similar crimes in Louisiana, Nevada, Arizona and California.

But this isn’t the end of Sharper’s legal woes. Next month, he’ll have similar hearings in Las Vegas and in New Orleans. In each state, he’s accused of drugging and sexually assaulting women.

His sentencing in California is scheduled July 15. Prosecutors in Nevada expect that he will plead guilty to one felony charge of attempted sexual assault. He will face between 38 months and 8 years in prison.
