New details about BET’s upcoming programming for 2015-2016 has been released, thanks to the networks Upfront Presentation that took place this week in NYC. As previously reported, supermodel/actress Eva Marcille has landed a non-scripted show. See new details about the cast and official show description:

“ABOUT THE BUSINESS” is a docu-series following a tight-knit group of friends in the elite world of urban Hollywood. During the day, they are all about the business and on their grind in the high stakes worlds of entertainment. And at night, this clique balances career and family while navigating being power players in LA’s African American celebrity circles. These true friends have big dreams and big drama, but their problems are always raw and relatable. Stars Eva Marcille, Sparkle Holmes, Danielle Crawley, Crystal Renay and EJ King. Produced by Entertainment One (eOne) and from Executive Producers Tara Long, David Shaye and Eric Hoberman for eOne, and Shanta Conic.

[FYI: Here’s a bit of background on the cast: Eva’s reality TV experience prior to her latest gig includes America’s Next Top Model; BET’s My Model Looks Better Than Your Model; Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘N Out; Oxygen’s Hair Battle Spectacular; Oxygen’s Girlfriend Confidential; etc. Sparkle, who is close friends with Eva and previously worked as her personal assistant, made a few cameo appearances on Girlfriend Confidential. She also works in the PR arena and manages a few Hollywood celebs. Crystal Renay is a video model and the girlfriend of singer NeYo.

EJ King is a celebrity stylist and is close friends with model and ex-girlfriend to Chris Brown, Karrueche Tran. We aren’t as familiar with Danielle Crawley’s work, although we do know she was on E!’s Candy Girls years ago.]
