August Alsina is both livid and disappointed in his native city, New Orleans.

The 22-year-old recently revealed the tried to create a peaceful event in NOLA, but was denied because of his celebrity status. Check out what he shared about his experience:
The worlds f*cked up.. Even trying to do something positive, everybody not gonna be on your side or have your best interest in heart. Racism, Stereotype and Discrimination is obviously still very alive, they box us in ALL as one. @teamdjpoppa @supremestreet & I tried to do something for the city of New Orleans in these tough times & i Never not once asked anybody for a dime or anything else for that matter.. Only asked they permit it so that we’d be doing it the right way. I met with everybody there was to meet.. City Hall, the commander, the councilman & so on… What I gained from The outcome was that They saw me as a problem and a threat to the city because of my status as a “celebrity”, & the people I would attract all because I’m a young black man. My goal isn’t to Shit on anybody with putting this out there or make anyone look bad, I’m simply shining light on the fact that I TRIED and was denied several times without any logic!
