Queen Latifah Lands New Film ‘Miracles From Heaven’
Queen Latifah is expanding her creative wings with her latest role, staring in the new Sony faith-based movie, ‘Miracles From Heaven’. Latifah’s most recent role was her portrayal of the legendary singer Bessie Smith in the HBO movie, ‘Bessie’.
According to Deadline, the movie is based on the book written by Christy Beam and the movie co-stars Jennifer Garner (‘Draft Day’). The film’s storyline is about woman named Christy Beam (Garner) and a series of miracles that unfold, leaving her family, her daughter’s doctors and the community baffled. Latifah plays a Boston waitress who becomes friends with Beam and her daughter during their visits to Boston Children’s Hospital. She steps up to provide comfort and a helping hand when they need it most, and her life ends up transformed by her interaction with the family.
