16th Annual ‘Art for Life’ Benefit: Russell Simmons, Elle Varner, Dave Chapelle, Gayle King, Ava Duvernay & More! [Photos]
Over the weekend, Russell Simmons, Danny Simmons, Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons and the Board of Directors of Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation held it’s Annual ‘Art For Life’ event. This year, the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation celebrated their 20th Anniversary and 16th Annual ART FOR LIFE Hamptons Benefit Event–their primary fundraising initiative for our friends and supporters. The evening is held in celebration of the creative energy of our inner-city youth, honored exemplary individuals for success in their respective fields and good works to better our communities.
Held at Fairview Farms, Bridgehampton, this years event was hosted by Soledad O’Brien and honored Dave Chappelle, Michaela and Simon de Pury and Ava DuVernay. This year’s special performances were by Bell Biv Devoe (BBD) and Elle Varner. The theme for this year’s bash was Roaring Twenties Festive. See a few candid moments on the red carpet and at the bash!
