We love seeing celebs give back! And Wale (real name Olubowale Victor Akintimehin) is becoming a regular at using his celebrity to share positive messages to fans, critics and students.

This week, we spotted the DC native, taking his talents to the nation’s capital.

First Lady Michelle Obama invited the 30-year-old artist to speak during the ‘beating the odds’ summit to teens that are college-bound and ready to move forward with the next phase of their lives.

The actual day was kicked off by President Barack Obama himself, who told attendees:

My rapping skills are terrible. That’s one thing I can’t do is rap. I like rap but I cannot rap.
