Tamar Braxton On: Social Media Haters, Why She’s Not Having Another Baby + Her Son Being A Pre-School Drop Out!
When DWTS called to have Tamar on as a dance she said,
I was flattered but I had to think because to be honest, I really wanted to do it because I can’t dance. The only thing I could do is twerk. I’m like, oh girl, you’re 38, you can’t just put your hands on your knees every time you hear a record…it’s not age appropriate.
Tamar is the number two dancer so far this season and she gives a ton of credit to her partner Val Chmerkovskiy,
I call him my creative director because he picks out my outfits. Val is like the white skinny version of Vince.
With sister Toni Braxton’s birthday coming up next week, Wendy asked, “What will you get her?” Tamar replied,
I don’t know hopefully a date. I’m really looking for a brother-in-law and a stepfather, more a brother-in-law.
Tamar also opened up about her new album, Calling All Lovers, and how it was inspired by her past relationships.
I got a past, he (Vince) has one too. I feel like I’ve started to grow up in the past few years finally, so I feel like it’s about accepting and knowing your past. I’m in love and really happy but there’s a story behind Tamar. I didn’t just wake up one day and meet the love of my life. It didn’t happen like that, I kissed frogs and all the monsters and stuff. It was important to me to talk about it and honestly, I didn’t know that I had a lot to let go. It was The Young and the Restless, it really was, it really was.
