(EXCLUSIVE) 50 Cent Boxing Co. Bankruptcy – Lightweight Champ Demands His Contract Be Voided
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, professional boxer Ryan Martin is demanding is contract with 50 Cent’s company, SMS Promotions, be voided and he be allowed to leave the deal and work with others … claiming the rapper screwed him over by failing to promote him at the height of his career.
As previously reported, this year 50 Cent’s (real name Curtis Jackson) boxing company SMS Promotions filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy stating it had between $100k – $600k in debt, only 3 years after it launched strong by signing various boxing champs. According to court docs in the bankruptcy, SMS Promotions stated their liabilities over $2.3 million dollars and only $644,903 in assets.
However on September 30th, lightweight champ Ryan Martin filed docs in the bankruptcy explaining he was screwed over by SMS Promotions and he wants his contract voided ASAP.
